Product Review

Both wet stopping and thermal regulating, this svelte Omni-Heat jacket packs a huge performance punch at a nice price. Taking inspiration from emergency space blankets, the Hot Thought’s thermal reflective lining captures and retains your own body heat while wicking moisture and promoting interior airflow. Underarm vents zip open to further disperse excess heat, with 2-way zipper pulls that allow you to customize the amount of ventilation. An Omni-Tech microporous membrane combines with full seam sealing to create a waterproof barrier that’s still highly breathable. Featuring a flattering cut and a sublime fabric that has a lovely, sleek hand, the Hot Thought is a pleasure to wear. Velcro and elastic adjustability at cuff tabs delivers supreme customization capability, and a Velcro-closing interior pocket provides secure storage for your essentials without adding weight.

I wore this jacket (in gray) while traveling in windy, rainy weather. This jacket/shell is light weight and I was able to layer a long sleeve zippered fleece jacket underneath as needed. It easily packed away in my luggage between flights. The sleeves are nice and long, which is wonderful since I am 5'10". Overall, this jacket has a good slim fit. One downfall, the hood seemed to fit short as my neck is probably longer than average. I wish there were more fabric and length in the hood/neck area but this shouldn't be an issue for women who are several inches shorter than I am. A nice jacket anyway.

The jacket was well made and had a shiney lining to keep you warm. Unfortunately, it ran pretty small and there was no way to layer anything under it. I returned the jacket and did not purchase a replacement.
