Fantastic pullover for hiking, backpacking, camping, and traveling,

Before this one I used a North Face TKA 100 1/4 zip fleece pull-over. It was a terrific product and still looks new after many uses and washes. However, as soon as I bought Glacial II 1/4 zip fleece pullover, I stopped using the North Face and carry this item in my backpack ALL THE TIME. Why?
1. it is lighter in weight, vents better (weaving is not as tight as NF TKA 100), and packs smaller, which is a BIG plus in backpacking
2. it is just thick enough as an added layer over a hiking shirt or a camisole.
3. perfect PJ for tent sleeping and the chilly mornings while cooking breakfast or doing toiletry
4. the sweat actually goes outside (the inside remains dry). I found it out one time when I forgot to take it off in a hotter afternoon weather.
It is a perfect 3-season hiking/backpacking/camping/taveling companion. It also washes well. After 6 months of weekly using and washing, still looks brand new!

For the life of me, I do not understand the complaints about the longer length on this top. This falls around the low-hip area, and gives just the right amount of coverage. In my opinion, all at-the-waist tops and jackets draw immediate attention to even the slightest bag, lump, bump, or bulge in the thigh, stomach, and rear areas. Who wants to look at that? And, let's not forget having to see butt smiles when ladies who wear shorter tops bend over? Ugh, no thank you! With this top, neither of those things are a problem. Again, this is the perfect length... Not short; not tunic length, either. I'm usually a size Small, but I ordered a Medium in this top. The Medium still gives nice shaping (i.e., not boxy) around the middle, without emphasizing my small belly pooch. The Small would have been way too clingy for my taste. I have two of them, and will probably order more!

My fleece arrived in good condition. I worried about the size, but it was perfect. It is a lighter weight fleece that gives warmth without being too thick. I have been unhappy in the past with fleece fabric that "pills up". This has not done so after a number of washings. I got the cranberry color and I like it. I was afraid it might be too pink, but it is more like red wine.
