Columbia Women's Arcadia Rain Jacket

This is a casual lightweight rain jacket and the colors I ordered are as shown. Water beads up and rolls off, and the hood has a small visor that helps keep rain off your face without having to carry an umbrella. The jacket is thin and lined only with mesh or nylon. It blocks some of the wind but is not a cold weather jacket. It runs a full size too small for misses and women, more like juniors sizing, and even ordering up a size there is only room for a fleece or thin sweater underneath. The sleeves are generous length and the jacket comes to lower hip level. There is a velcro adjustment at the wrists. The sports styling and color combinations look good. The jacket is nylon but feels a little like plastic, although the fabric is nice quality and gentle washable. I found this jacket to be too fitted for comfortable wear. Instead of having a slight curve at waist it is fitted around, and the sleeves are narrower than necessary. I need to add that I am not a big woman and yet this jacket, as compared to other Columbia styles, is made to be more form fitting. Not a good feel for a rain jacket that you want to be airy and light feeling. I had to return it and will have to spend the cost of return postage to do it. Wish someone else had noted this fit.

This jacket has been great. It keeps the rain out leaving me completely dry. The only complaint I would have to say about this jacket is that towards the waste it's a little bit tighter compared to the rest of the jacket.
