This review is from: Columbia Women's Whirlibird Parka (Apparel) Being from Miami I haven't owned to many heavy coats but I really like this one! I like the idea that there are two layers and you can remove or wear them both. I got the brown color, which I was a little nervous about, but it looks great! Also fits well: I am 5'5 and 110 lbs and I got the small. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Columbia Women's Whirlibird Parka (Apparel) * color: The white and blue is awesome looking. I managed to keep the white white so far, but it does get dirty if you start rubbing against cars. The good thing is it's waterproof so the stains come off under the snow.
* sizing: It's true to size. I'm 5'2", 105-110lbs, bought an S and I have margin in the jacket. * warmth: I'm the type of girl who complains it's freezing when it's 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and I was actually warm in this jacket with just a long sleeve thermal underneath, skiing in a windy snow storm. I used to wear a tank top, a long-sleeve thermal, a long sleeve shirt, a wool sweater, and a fleece under my old insulated Columbia convert jacket, just to tell you how much warmth I usually need. This review is from: Columbia Women's Whirlibird Parka (Apparel) love the versatility of the 3-in-1 jacket. glad that both the outer and inner shell are a true black. as far as looks go, i'm a no-frills type. i like that, if you look in the dictionary under "versatile jacket", there would be a picture of this jacket. simple, but with practical options. in 20-30 degree snowy weather, the outer shell and liner worked great with a sweater, cotton top and no thermals. it's spring now and i go everywhere in just the liner. the liner works in a slight rain sprinkle, but not a downpour. haven't worn the jacket in the rain yet. my in-laws saw the jacket and snapped a few 3-in-1's up for themselves because, in chicago, if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. really happy with my purchase. |
